Most days we are trying to juggle everyones needs and the same goes on holidays. The heat makes it really hard for Woody to enjoy being out for more than about an hour, he gets hot in the sling and would rather be in a pool.
So we decided to go separate ways on some occasions so that everyone is happy.
Pepper, Woody and I headed to the river area of Chiang Mai while the big boys went for a secret boys day....I had no idea what they would get up to but the look on Coopers face before he left, I knew it was better that I was not there!
Vieng Joom On ( The pink teahouse) sits on the banks of the Ping River. It is open from 10am-7pm each day.
It is the perfect morning out for a girl who adores pink and for anyone really! We got a cool breeze off the river and the decor is devine. I would love an outdoor area like this at home! It is worth just coming to sit on the deck and relax! But of course we came here for the cake! The desserts on offer are amazing.
This is a five piece selection of the mini sampler cakes. I had to snap this pic so quickly as a little hand grabbed the cherry tart before it even hit the table! The mini lemon meringue pie was my personal favourite.
There is a really big food and drinks menu too, so you could infact sit here all day if you wanted. I really wanted to but reality kept interrupting me!
Baby Woody loved the scones with fresh jam. He was also loved by all the staff as they came and took his picture then facebooked thier friends! We were the only people there at 1030am so the kids had many admirers.
Inside is a little tea shop with many different teas and tea sets too.
Of course it is not street food prices, our morning tea and drinks cost 500thb ( $15 Aud). It was the perfect morning for sharing time and treats with my daughter and baby.
Meanwhile Cooper and Andrew did this:
